Take Back the Night
Student's marching in the 2017 Take Back the Night in front of Todd Hall.
Every year, we march.
The Week Without Violence is a time to reflect on all the ways that we and others experience violence, and to commit to doing what we can to protect survivors and prevent violence on our campus and in our community. This march is the closing event of the week, our chance to see our strength as a community.
Women are told to fear walking alone at night. In reality, violence happens not only in the dark and alone, but in our homes and relationships. Take Back the Night is a march against sexual and domestic violence. People of all genders are encouraged to join us in taking back the night, gathering together in our refusal to fear the dark.
